Assisting with Pharmaceutical Formulation and Development
Consult about all aspects of pharmaceutical formulation and development. Extruded Pharmaceuticals Ltd has an extensive array of resources, including a wide selection of small and large remixers, available for our clients to develop and create new formulations easily and cost-effectively. Get in touch today to consult our experienced team of pharmacologists and clinicians.
Remixing and Extrusion
We offer remixers and extruders of various sizes, including the smallest commercially available twin-screw extruder (7.5mm, 15:1 L/D) in the UK. This allows for samples as small as 3 to 5 grams to be processed and permits easy and cost-effective development of new formulations and the rapid screening of polymer and API blends.
Furthermore, this process is followed by producing pre-production batches for scale-up and technology transfer on a 10mm, 40:1 L/D twin-screw equipped with various feed and take-off arrangements.
Fused Deposition Modelling
We also provide filament-fed and pellet-fed fused deposition modelling (FDM) 3D printers. Suitable for the manufacture of personalised medicines, multi-layered dosage forms, and complex devices, each of the printers has 4 print heads, allowing for up to four different drugs or formulations to be printed with the same digital form.
